9 September Sunday 1894
A beautiful day fair Wind South.
Grace and Maude go to church.
Bell, Charley and little Charley come
over. I cooked 2 chickens for dinner.
Wellie, Eveline & children come too and
Grace comes with Maud from church. After
dinner Charley goes home with Wellie to see
the potatoes and they all have a very
good visit. Grace goes home with them to
help Bell cook for threshold. The Woodman
Machine doing their threshing. W Jr & E & children
stay all night.

10 Monday 10 Sept 1894
A wet rainy day
rather cool. Voltie & Mart working
in the shop. Eveline says she will
stay with me a few days for we want
to can tomatoes and make catchup [sic].
Wellie gone home to work in his house
making partitions up stairs. Wellie didnt'
come up to dinner but while we are eating
dinner in walked Johny came for [Mart|Martin]]
and got him this time but tis a very bad
day to cross the river in Dodges old
boat through the rain and wind.
