19 Sept Wednesday 1894

As I am writing this diary back from
further data I will write just here. John Morgan
was drowned the night of Sept 19 1894 though
I didnt hear of it till Sept 23rd sunday
morning. A cold North wind strong breeze
and a very dark night with rain.

20 September Thursday 1894
Expected Grace home to day from
her Kingston visit but she didnt come.
It is a very rainy morning. Wellie drove
to the dock with Voltie and just as they
were starting Martin came running across
the fields and hopped into the waggon enroute
for Kingston fair, couldnt stand it had
to go to the Kingston fair having staid all night
at Lon Dodges. Voltie brought all our
spices and butter bowl and said Grace
is coming home Saturday with Laura.
Voltie gave Grace a dollar and bought her a
pair of fine books.
