3rd October Wednesday 1894
A rainy morning. Grace helped
Voltie milk. Wellies old shoes no good.
Voltie drove to factory. Voltie Wellie
came up after breakfast and went to
help Niles kill hogs for market. Lill
and Hank gone to the fair. I think
they must have got wet. V gave Wellie
a pig's liver. Wellie gave me a piece of
it for supper. I wrote a long letter
to Nellie Guy. Grace ironed the clothes.

4 October Thursday 1894
Arose this morning at four Oclock and
got breakfast. Grace walked to the
dock before day light. Wellie went to
Kingston too. V milked all the cows,
drove to the factory, done all the chores,
dug all the Haynes potatoes & drew
part of them and put them in the
cellar, done all the chores, milked cows
and drove to the dock again. Mrs Morgan
on the boat to day. The Sheriff seized all the
things to day. This is the second seizure.
Nellie gave me a book to day written [illegible]
