5th October Friday 1894
A cool wind S.W. rolling
dark clouds. A perfectly threatning
autumn day a fore runner of what
we may expect. Voltie plowing
on the Grange. Voltie & Wellie
agree to do their work seperately.
Wellie working his end of the place
and Voltie this part and each one
working a part of the Grange, the pastures
and all grass lands are very green.
Maude washed the dinner dishes
and has gone to Wills to borrow some
white thread for Grace didn't get
any yesterday. raining nearly all
last night. we paired a bushel of apples Voltie, Grace & I
6th October
A chilly day. Wind W
and breezy, clouds sending before the
wind. Wellie came up and helped milk
and went home to breakfast. Voltie drove
to the factory and done all the chores
picked up and drew to the house the rest of
the Haynes potatoes and put them in the
cellar; got some wood and hung up
the apples I had strung
