drove to the field to plow all
the afternoon. Maud picked
up some apples and paired [sic] & strung
some. Grace cleaned all the house
reading all the evening in the
book Nelly sent me "In All Shades"
by Grant Allen, a fine book.
Sunday 7 October 1894
A most beautiful
day quit [sic] bright warm clear & serene. Not
many such day will come this fall,
what a lovely day to drive over to Bells.
But we have no way to go only in
the old farm waggon. Well we are
alone all day. Wellie came up to help milk
in the morning & evening & went directly
home again. After dinner Maude went
to Mr Niles and Grace went to Wills & Welly,
Rube McF & another fellow from Clayton
with two children a Keys fellow married
to one of Bill Steeles daughter. They all had stayed
at Wellies. Will D & Grace went over to Dignums
in the evening, young Doctouer came there.
