Cold Wind blowing a gale all night
with rain. A nasty day wind and
rain all day from N.W. Eveline sewing
for Jen. I darning socks. Wellie plastering
Voltie helping him After dinner W Jr and V
helped Will D butcher two hogs. Mart
picking up stones till chore time.
Morgan didn't bring V's gun home
as he agreed.

Tuesday 6th Nov 1894
Wind N.W.
Froze quite hard last night for the
first time this autumn, sun shine part
of the time, but earth and clouds
a dreary melancholy wintry look [illegible]
and Muriel playing out sliding on
ice on the flat and H came in
with cold aching fingers which E
thawed out in the washdish. Wall came
over to grind his axe. Charlie came too.
