Sunday 20 September 96
A chilly morning but fair,
not much wind this morning.
Harry & Voltie ate dinner at Wellies and
Harry goes across the river with Mr Maloney's
boys in skiff. Voltie comes
home at milking time driving home
the cows. River is rough this afternoon,
a strong wind from the West. Rachel
and Jen came over and stayed till
after supper.

Monday 21 Sept 96
A cool day but
fine. Grace got a cold and sore throat.
Reid came across river this am
wind blowing strong from S.W.
Maud at school. Voltie cutting up
corn. Grace and Irene make tomato
catsup and can sweet apples and churn.
Grace, Voltie & Maud gone to prayer meeting
and I am alone with the dogs for
company this evening.
