Feb 7th Friday. A beautiful
morning. Wells went to Kingston
this morning. Started at 8. Went

rain. No snow. River partly
covered with thin ice. J Niles

skate along the shore down to Hornes
and back, cloudy most all day,
looks like snow. Eddy, Eben & Woodman's
boys skating between here and J Niles ice
like a mirror, freezing, Wind East. Grace
made cookies and fried cakes. Will
over here to get team to draw wood.
Will not well, talks of going to Ganonoque [sic]
tommorrow [sic: tomorrow] with Spaff with butter. Welly

Volty came home on a visit from
aunt Hannah's - shoved a punt across on the poor
ice. Wells came home from K at 8 AM.
