A fine soft Spring day.
Grace sewing and reeling
carpet rags to color. Gran reading
most all day. Irene washed Bells
breadth of carpet, and V a pair of
pants. Maud at school & V brought
his net & reel from off the ice. Withdrew
his sturgeon net out from
under the ice. After lunch V
went to J.N's to saw wood.
June churned & C & C, Wallace N
came home with V, helped
him saw wood, ate supper with
us. In the evening the whole
Niles family went to Spafford's
to partake at warm maple sugar.
V taped 4 or 5 more trees. V
brought in at evening time 2
full pails of sap. Will made
us a cake.
