Thursday 21 March 1895
The weather this morning
froze up again but thaws out again
before noon and grows soft. The snow
slowly disolving in the hot rays of old
sol as the Earth day by day wheels her
Northern temperate zone towards the suns
genial warming pan. Wellie helping Will
set a net after driving over to Will's with
E and the children. Ev making Jen a
dress. Wellie ate dinner here and then
Wellie, Voltie and Mart filled the ice house
Mart went to OBriens and from there to
Morgans for the ice saw and tongs. Shelly Niles
came down to see us to day.
This is the first time Shelly been here since
Lill & Hank were married. A lecture in the
Church this evening. Sr coping the
North side of the house. Irene churned
and mended clothes for Mart. I'm tired
of patching. I've patched all winter
and made over old stockings and darned
scocks. We have no wool or yarn to knit socks
and I'm glad of it. I've knit for 60 years and
thats enough! W. G. Woodman and family drove into
ice crack & Mary got wet.
