Wednesday 16th September 1908
No rain. A cool morning wind North. No rain.
Ethel staid all night, went over to
R's after breakfast. I wash a lot of
colored clothes. Maud gathers Oldenburghs
for market. V & dad pull beans,
awful smoky. Heard the woods are
on fire and burning between Charmont &
Depauville. Evening R has company. The
Dignum Bros (Will & Harold), Stella & Ethel by
a pre arainged [sic: prearranged] plan meet the Dignum's
at Rachels.
