My dear Buchan,

Thank you very much for your book which I shall
take away with me as a bit of Scotland transported to Africa. It
is really most kind of you to send me these little presents of yours.
All l can do in return is to assure you that I va1ue them very highly.

Is it true that you were in Lossiemouth this year?
I heard you had been but only after you had left. I should so much
like to come across you some time either here or when I am at home
in the North.
