I was glad to get your note. It would
puzzle me to say whether I'm a Marxist or
not. I think not, in any full sense. Certainly,
I am not a complete determinist. And I liked
your essay, both in itself and as a peg,
though use of it as a peg may have
made me do it less than justice.
