Dear Lord Tweedsmuir,
Sometime ago Edward Shackleton wrote to you
on my behalf, about a plan whereby I hope to continue my
geological work in Ellesmere Land. You were good enough
to consent to put this plan before the Canadian Government.
I also sent in an official applicaiton, but up to the present
time have received no reply.
As the s.s.Nascopie sails early in July, time
is now getting very short and unless I hear from the
Canadian Government soon, there will be no time to make the
necessary arrangments. I should be very grateful if you
could do anything to expedite things a little.
With apologies for troubling you,
Yours sincerely
