persons to furnish evidence as as to bring to
light the guilty person, or persons.
Professor Smith intimated that there were two
persons whom he could name, on whm
suspicion had fallen as having been parties
in the outrage; and that he considered the
grounds of that suspicion of such a nature,
that he requested the Senatus Academicus
to bring them before the court, and put the
question to them whether they were concerned,
or had any part in the assault above
