The Principal stated that he had granted to Mr George a certificate of his having performed the duties of his office as Professor of Systematic Theology, and desired to know whether the Senatus sanctioned the same, and also, whether in similar cases he should follow the same course. The Senatus approved of his conduct, and ordered that in all similar cases, the same course be followed.

The Principal stated that he had received from the Rev. Dr Cook £20. being a contribution from St Andrews Church, Quebec, for a bursary to a Student of Queen's College. The Senatus, considered, that, as this is the only bursary contributed by a congregation, it would be proper to award it to a student coming from Quebec, and therefore agreed to award it to Mr Thomas G. Smith, who is from that city.

The meeting then closed. George Romanes, Secretary
