Which day the Senatus met and was
duly constituted.
Sederunt The Very Reverend Principal
Leitch, Professors Williamson, George, Mowat,
Lawson and Weir.
The minutes of former meeting were read and
approved of.

The Secretary was instructed to write the
Clerk of the Synod of Nova Scotia in reference
to the late Mr. Martin, who, while studying at
the Preparatory School of Queen's College with
a view to the ministry of the Presbyterian
Church of Nova-Scotia in connection with
the Church of Scotland, incurred a debt
of from $60 to $70 to a poor woman for Board
and Lodging, and to state that the woman was
led to believe at the time of his death that
the Synod of Nova Scotia would liquidate this
this[sic] debt.

The Senate agreed to give William Hamilton,
who expressed himself as in needy circumstances
a Bursary of $40, and to John Reid Ross $16.25
