The Senatus met and was constituted with
[margin]Princ. Snodgrass[/margin]prayer by the Very Reverend Principal Snodrass
[margin]sedet[/margin]recently elected Principal and Primarius
Professor of Divinity.

Sederunt the Very Reverend Principal
Snodgrass, Professors Williamson, Murray
[margin]Mr. McKerras[/margin]and Mowat, and the Rev. John H. McKerras
[margin]sedet[/margin]recently elected Interim Professor of
Classics.

The minutes of the last meeting held
on the 27th of April were read and approved.

The Senatus having found at an informal
[margin]James Grey pas-[/margin]meeting held on the 28th of April
[margin]ses Un. Ex. 1863-4[/margin]that James Grey student of the second
year was qualified to pass the University
Examination, and that William B. Thibodo
[margin]W.B. Thibodo B.A.[/margin]B.A. was worthy of being recommended
[margin]recommended for M.A.[/margin]to the Senate for the degree of M.A., it
was agreed to hold Mr. Grey as having passed
the said University Examination, and to
sustain the recommendation in regard to
Mr. Thibodo.

[margin]Letter from D.A.[/margin]A letter having been read from Mr.
[margin]Mcpherson an-[/margin]D.A. Mcpherson, Teacher of the Grammar
[margin]ent time of entrance[/margin]School, Lancaster, stating that his
engagement in the School would prevent
him matriculating before the New Year and
asking if his attendance after that date would
be reckoned as a regular session, the Secretary
was instructed to inform him that the session
is not reckoned regular, if the student
enters after the first of November.
