Which day the Senate met and was
duly constituted by the very Reverend
Principal Leitch. ~
Sederunt the very Reverend Principal
Leitch D.D., Professors Williamson, Mowat,
Lawson and Weir.
The minutes of former meeting were read
and approved of.

[margin]*[/margin]A letter from the Revd. Mr. Grant, Prince
Edward's Island was read in answer to the
Senate's Minute of 27th April 1861—a copy
of which minute the Secretary had been
instructed to send to the Clerk of the Synod
of Nova Scotia. —The Senate expressed its
satisfaction with the explanations contained
in said letter in reference to the late Mr. Martin.

Scholarships and Bursaries were awarded in
the different Classes as follows: viz.
Intrants
William McGeachy, Kingston Scholarship $80.
Donald Fraser, Trustee Scholarship $40.
Lachlan Macalister, Mowat Scholarship $32.
2nd. Year's Students. ~
Robert Jardine, Trustee Schol: $20 and Bursary Fund $20
Alexander Jamison, Bursary Fund $40.
3rd Year's Students
George Milligan Trustee Schol: $20 Bursary Fund $20
