Which day the Senate met and
was duly constituted by the Principal.
Sederunt The Very Reverend Prncipal
Leitch D.D. Professors Lawson,
H. Yates, Lavell, Dr. Yates and Weir.
The minutes of former meeting were read [&]
approved of.

The Committee appointed at last
meeting to draw up a petition to Parliament
against a private Bill empowering the
Toronto School of Medicine to grant certidficates
to Students of said School qualifying
for Provinvial Licenses had not
drawn the said petition in Consequence of
the Biil's defeated on the 2nd reading.

An Excerpt from the Minutes of the Medical
Faculty recommending to the Senate Adrian
Reitz, Caraduc C.W. and Samuel H. Fre[?],
Kingston as having undergone the necessary
Examinations, and as qualified to receive the
Degree of M.D. The Senate agreed to sustain
the report of the Medical Faculty in regard
to these gentlemen.

The Senate next took up the application
of Mr. Wm. M. Mackay for Degree of B.A.
and examined his Diploma from Rochester
College and Certificates of Charaacter, Scholarship
etc. The Senate have not satisfactory
proof of his having passed through a
Collegiate Course corresponding to that of
Queen's College, and cannot therefore
