The Minutes of former meeting were read
and approved of.

It was arranged that the Revd. John C.
Murray recently appointed Professor of
Mental and Moral Philosophy and
Logic in this University should deliver
his Introductory Lecture in the Convention
Hall on Monday the 24th Current at
3 O'Clock P.M., and the Secretary was
instucted to put an advertisement to that
effect in the Kingston Daily Papers.
It was agreed that a meeting of the Senate
should be held previous to Mr. Murray's
Lecture, to receive the Trustees' Minute of his
appointment, and to place his name on
the Senate-Roll.

Closed with the benediction

Which day the Senate met and was
duly constituted.

Sederunt The Very Reverend Principal
Leitch, Professors Williamson, Mowat,
Lawson, Dickson, H. Yates, Fowler, Lavell,
Kennedy, O. Yates, and Weir.

Thereafter an Extract from the Minutes
of Trustees was put into the Secretary's
hands and read. The following is the
Extract referred to:—
