the necessary number of marks at the written examination
were not subjected to the oral examination,
viz. of those who passed the primary
examination Messrs. File, Fraser, Hillier,
Hutchison, Saunders, and of those who passed
the final examination, Messrs Bleasdell,
Booth, Clarke, Dickson, Johnstone, and
O'Sullivan.

An Essay for the Montreal prize was laid
on the table and Professors Williamson and
Murray were appointed to examine it and report.

There were read letters from William
Malloy and Peter L. Livingston for the sanction
of the Senate to their attendance during
the next two sessions of the Divinity classes along
with two Arts classes each session, with the view
of graduating as Bachelors of Arts at the
close of session 1869-70. The Senate deferred
the further consideration of this application till
next meeting.
