The Senate having made the necessary
inquiries resolved that at the statutory meeting
and on the usual conditions they would confer
the degree of D.D. upon the Rev. Robert
Sedgewick of Middle Musquodeboit.

The subject of conferring degrees on examination
alone without class attendance was postponed
to a future meeting.

Changes in Calendar

The Senate resolved that in the list of subjects
for the matriculation examination in the
Calendar the subject of classics be arranged as follows
"(a) Latin - Virgil Aeneid, Bk II Cicero pre Leg. Manit;
translation of English into Latin prose.
"(b) Greek - Grammar: Lucian, Charon; Homer, Illiad,
Bk I.
