The Senate met and was constituted.

Sederunt Principal Grant, Professors Mowat,
Mackerras, Dupuis, and Ferguson.

The minutes of the meetings held Jan 19th
and Feb 7th 1878 were read and approved.

be examined for B.A.

In reference to the applicaiton from Alphonse
McTaggart the Senate having found from his
letter of Feb. 1st that he had attended College only
one full session and part of a second, instructed
the Clerk to inform him that as his College attendance
was not equal to what is required of graduates
by this University, he cannot be admitted to the
examination for the ad eundem degree of B.A.

The Senate agreed to meet on Saturday 20th
of April at ten o'clock A.M. in Convocation Hall
for the purpose of hearing the competitors for the
eloctionary prizes - competitors to give their names
to the Secretary on or before the 18th of April. The
Senate appointed Profs. Mowat and Ferguson a
Committee to select two pieces, one serious and the
other humorous to be read by the competitor.
