whereat the Assembly's Committee accepted the Draft Bill
and cordially approved the clauses regarding the
incorporation of the Theological Faculty and the
financial arrangements connected therewith, and
agreed to join in requesting Parliament to pass the Bill.

The General Assembly's Committee had met with the
Trustees of Queens at 10.30 a.m, the Rev. Principal Cavan
in the Chair. The Draft Bill, looking to a change
in the Constitution of the University and as passed
by the Trustees, was presented by Principal Gordon, and
explained clause by clause. Clause 29 was amended
by the introduction of the following words in line 2 after
the word "College" - "Which shall be subject to the
jurisdiction of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian
Church in Canada."

Having completed the consideration of the Bill, Principal
Gordon intimated the finding of the University Board,
as to the share of the proposed Theological College
in the funds of the University. Full explanation,
on all point as required was made; wherefore Dr. Cavan
asked all the member of his Committee, individually,
whether they approved, and all having given their
assent, the Committee expressed their hearty
acceptance of the Draft Bill, and more especially
of those clauses providing for the separate incorporation
