the other Canadian delegates spoke, the farthest corners
of the Empire learned how very much alive to the
highest claims of Education were Queen's and the sister
Institutions of the Dominion.

Before the close of the Congress it was agreed that it
should meet every five years.

"For the better organization of the University and for
the closer relation of its Faculties, and to define the
relation of the School of Mining and Queen's Theological
College to the University in academic matters" it was
deemed well "to make certain changes in the
Constitution of the Senate, and to create Faculty Boards
to which certain functions should be assigned."

As approved by the Board the changes were as follows:
The Senate shall consist of the Principal, the Vice-Principal,
the Principal of the Theological College, the Dean of the
Faculty of Arts, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, the
Dean of the Faculty of Science, the Dean of the Faculty of
Education, three Professors elected by the Faculty of Arts,
two Professors elected by the Theological College, three
Professors elected by the Faculty of Medicine, three Professors
elected by the Faculty of Science, and seven members of
Senate shall constitute a quorum.

Thus, the Senate was made a representative body. The former
functions remained practically unchanged; but to these
