The question of
appointing a Registrar, which had been brought
before the Trustees in the Fall, and deferred to the
Spring meeting, was then again discussed and the Rev.

J.B. McIver was appointed Secretary Teasurer in the
room of Mr. A.F. Ireland who this year resigned.

At this meeting the Trustees felt themselves in a
position to establish the long desired additional Chair in
Theology, and the Rev. Donald Ross M.A. B.D was
appointed Professor of Apologetics and A.J Exegesis and
Criticism at a salary of $2000 per annum, to which
his allowance of $200 a year from the Temporalities Fund
was to be a contribution.

In annual grant of $250
was also allowed to provide for assistance in the teaching
of Modern Languages. Another important step and
one involving considerable increase of expenditure was taken
in the Spring, when the question of raising the salaries
of some of the Professors was considered and it was settled
that the salaries of the Principal and the four oldest
Professors should be raised as follows:

The Principal by $500
