The condition of the Endowment
Association at the close of the session was encouraging,
statements read at the first annual meeting on April
28th by the Hon Secretary shewing that Branch
Associations had been formed as follows: - Kingston,
with a membership of 9 life members, and 261 Annual
members; representing $1.909: Ottawa with a
membership of 73, Toronto with two Life and 67
ordinary members, representing $617: an Alma Mater
Society Branch with 66 members: an Acadian Society
Branch with 23 members, also, branches in Montreal,
Carleton Place, Belleville and Brockville.

At the Annual Meeting of the
Board of Trustees the question of the Affiliation of
Medical and Other Schools outside of Kingston was
again brought forward, and the favourable opinion
of the University COuncil was expressed in a Resolution
as follows:

"That in the opinion of the
Council it is desirable that means should be provided
for the Affiliation, under proper conditions of Medical
and other Schools outside of Kingston to the University
of Queen's College. It was resolved that
the Trustees affirm- (1) That it is desirable
