that the qualifications of the Revd Dr. Cook commanded the
unanimous approval of those connected with the Church,
resolved, that he be earnestly requested to accept the office
of Principal, and a deputation of the Board was appoint-
ed to wait upon him, and represent to him the desire of the
Trustees, and their hope that he may see it to be his duty
to accept an office for the discharge of which he was so
eminently fitted, and thus comply with what the Trus-
tees were assured would be most acceptable to the Church
at large.

On Thursday, 30th April, after examination on
the various subjects prescribed, the following gentlemen
were admitted by the Senatus Academicus of the University
to Degrees in Arts, Viz;

Joseph Evans, Kitley, to the Degree of Master of
Arts,

And, of the Students who have completed their cur-
riculum, to the Degree of Bachelor of Arts -
John May Beckwith
John Machar Kingston With Honours.
