Sir

I have the honor, to request
from consideration of a Receival
presentedby me on the 17th
and addressed to the Chief
Secretary by the Magistrate of
Dalby, Dawking Downs, in which
they draw his attention to the
great state of judicial destitution
under which their District now
suffers in consequence of their
incapacity to perform the duties
which desolve upon them, and
praying that the present Clerk
of the Bench should be appointed
a Stipendiary Magistrate.

Repeated representations have
been made on this subject.
The Superintendent of Police is
well aware of several well
founded complaints made by
those who have suffered long
and muchtimes [??] in
carceration in consequence of the
great difficulty in obtaining a
regular attendance of the unpaid
majistary

I have the honor to be
yr most obt servant
