then the Principal Witness for the
Prosecution was not in attendance
at the Police Offices, as it was
found to be, unpracticable to give
him due notice to attend the Court
on the above date, in consequence
of the distance he resided from
the Court, and the short time
the Magistrate remained in Town.
The Accused in now out on
Bail on his own recognizanse
to appear whenever called upon to
answer to the charge for which he
was apprehended
