Consequence of Mr Rogers
absence from Chimchillia, the
summons was not served in
a efficient time to insure his
attendance at Court, on the date
Referred to - but we may add
that even had the summons
been duly served the case could
not have been investigated in
consequences of the non attendances
of a second Magistrate.

In justices to the complainint
we are bound to admit that
he was in attendance with hi
witness on the 25th January last.

We are informed by the
Chief Constable that they
certainly observed marks on the
mans back apparent inflicted
