15th February, 1954.

The Superintendent,
Cherbourg Settlement,
via MURGON.

The following queries have been received at this office -

(1) The aboriginal meaning for the word "Indooroopilly".

(2) An aboriginal name for a house erected at Burleigh Heads on the South
Coast. The house has hills on either side and also in the distance in
the rear. The front faces the Pacific Ocean and there is an extensive
view of water.

Kindly advise the meaning of "Indooroopilly" and in
connection with the second query ask natives to suggest several names with
a view to satisfying the owner of the house.
