What is the best way to transcribe the sets of numbers after the names? It appears like they are fractions, but most do not have a dividing line written in. Should transcribers enter all the upper numbers in a line, and then all the lower numbers, or instead list each pair of upper and lower numbers together. Eg from top of document: 284 69 255 70 154 71... or instead do: 284 255 154 69 70 71...

Hi Elizabeth - this one is a slight exception to the "exactly" rule of transcription. The numbers listed after the names are the prison numbers over the year, so the preferred entry is 284/1869; 255/1870; and so on. Thanks for the question. Cheers
