Summary: Rose Chambers, the widow of Aaron Chambers, a Private in Co G 118th Regiment USCT , is a resident of Henderson, Kentucky. Aaron was enrolled 19 September 1864 and died 6 November 1864 of disease in a field hospital in Virginia. Testimony from the 1st Sergeant of the same company and regiment stated he died from diarrhea. Rose and Aaron have proof of cohabitation since 1837. They have no children living under sixteen years of age. Document admitted 13 December 1867 and $8 per month commenced 7 November 1864.

While in service he contracted diarrhea and died in the field hospital in Virginia on 6 November 1864. She states she married Aaron in Henderson, Kentucky on 15 March 1837 and her maiden name was Black. Rose declares they have no children living under sixteen years of age and they lived together as husband and wife. Witnesses saw her make her mark. They also made their mark.
