Summary: Rebecca Corneal is the widow of Warner Corneal, a private in Company A 16th Regiment USCT, and a resident of Montgomery, Tennessee. Rolls show that Warner mustered in 19 November 1863. His death reported he died of disease at the hospital in Clarksville, Tennessee on 21 January 1864. The Surgeon General states he died on 22 January 1864 of Pneumonia. The Captain of Company A certifies the disease was brought on by cold weather and exposure and he died on 21 January 1864 in the Post Hospital in Clarksville, Tennessee. Their marriage was established by two credible witnesses. There were no children born in their marriage. Document was admitted on 26 February 1866 with a pension of $8 per month commencing on 21 January 1864.
