Summary: Widow, Mary Ann (Jenkins) Issam and Jordan were residents of Fayette County, Kentucky. They had two children: Martha (1853), James (1857). John Alford was their former enslaver at the time that Mary Ann gave birth to their son James. Previously, Mary Ann was enslaved by Patsy Jenkins. At the time of her marriage, Mary Ann was known as Mary Ann Gray. Also, enslaved with Jordan and Mary Ann on the same plantation, were slaves Issam Issam and Ed. Issam.
