Reuben Foree served with Co. A of the 123 Regiment USCT infantry. Reuben Foree died of acute bronchitis on 2 March 1865 at the Floating Hospital Ohio in New Albany, Indiana. The Commanding Captain of the company was Thomas Cox. Mary’s maiden name was Aubrey and she married Reuben on 25 October 1846. Mary and Reuben had the following children, and they are living with her, Harriet Foree born 3 November 1847, Richard Foree born 20 February 1850, John Foree born 11 April 1852, Reuben Foree born 28 February 1854, Fanny Foree born 4 August 1856, Jordan Foree born 8 December 1858, Albert Foree born 4 July 1861, and Unity Foree born 3 January 1864. Mary Foree and Jude Owens were married on 16 June 1866. In 1881 Judy Owens passed away and Mary reapplied for her pension in 1905. Her children Jordon S. White and Unity Hall filed affidavits in her behalf. In 1905 she was living in Denver, CO. A document stated that Mary’s pension was dropped due to her death 25 May 1913.
Widow, Mary Aubrey, lived in Henry County, Kentucky. Unity was also known as Minty. Last name on CMSR is "Force."
