Summary: Lucinda Cecil Mattingly is the widow of Felix Mattingly who served with Company C of the 125th Regiment USCT infantry. Lucinda Mattingly is a resident of Jefferson, Kentucky. Felix enrolled 28 March 1865 and died 2 March 1866 at the Post Hospital in Cairo, Illinois of diarrhea contracted in the line of duty. J.B. Hutchins married Felix and Lucinda 7 January 1864. Lucinda was a slave of M.B. Cecil and Felix was a slave of Henry Mattingly Esq. Documents state Felix and Lucinda have no living children born of their marriage. A pension in the amount of $8 per month was to commence 3 March 1866. Pensioner Lucinda Mattingly of Chicago, Illinois was dropped due to her death on 25 March 1929. Record states she was last paid a rate of $50 a month to 4 March 1929.
