Summary: Pensioner was Stout’s Widow, Rachel Bruton, who lived in Madison County, Kentucky, at the time of filing. Stout served in the 12th USCHA, Co. G and died in Paducah, Kentucky during December of 1865 from Small Pox. Stout had no children. Although his request to muster in was not received until after his death, his muster roll states, "He has been doing duty in company since its organization.” The Adjutant General states that the Company was organized on 23 August 1864.
