Summary: Elizabeth Flowers is the widow of George Flowers, and her maiden name was Grady. George was a private in Company D 109th Regiment USCT infantry. They married 1 November 1863 at the residence of Thomas L. Grady in the county of Adair. Their marriage was performed by Reverend William Wilson. Elizabeth declares her husband died in Perryville, Kentucky on 13 August 1865 due to sunstroke. Elizabeth and George had no children. Records indicate that George died at the Ashland General Hospital of Typhoid Fever on 10 August 1864.
