Summary: Pensioner was Clark’s Widow, Jane Hiter, who lived just outside of Versailles, in Woodford County, Kentucky, at the time of filing. Clark was drafted into the 109 USCI, Co. H and died in Texana, Texas during November of 1865 from Malarial Fever. (Clark had three children: Flora, Alice & Margaret Hammond.) Affidavits from D.P. Hiter and D. Thornton on pages 6-7. Affidavits from James A Edwards and Belle Edwards on pages 8-9. James and Belle lived in Versailles, Woodford, Kentucky in 1861 and Jane and Clark were married in their home.
