Summary: Nancy Miller is the widow of Samuel Miller, a private in Co. B 5th Regiment USC Cavalry. (Future documents state the Company is Company D) She is a resident of Jefferson, Kentucky. Samuel was enrolled 15 August 1864 and died in action 1 October 1864 in Saltville, Virginia. Nancy and Samuel's marriage was performed by a colored preacher in March 1850. They had four children, Thomas Jefferson, age 13, Fanny, age 11, John Hendersen, age 9, and Sally Ann, age 7.
