I [notice?] what you [?] about the
lateness of Spec trout spawning
shall [?] too had of after all the
trouble and Expense incurred [?] [?]
will result from your [exertions?] -- If
however Spec trout are as plentiful as
you have described, they must come
upon their spawning beds in great
numbers shortly -- [Accounts?] from
Mowat are that he commenced too
late, and that very few if any will
be had from him -- I got a letter from
Gauthier saying that he would be
on hand with nets at Wiarton by
the 1st Novemb. and have them set
at the points I laid down in my
letter to him -- I got a letter today
from [Kennewick?] (dated Sackets Harbour
post mark Oct 25th) saying and
Pigeon Island Oct 22. saying [?] that
only 15 fish had been [caught?] in
the [Larshied?] is [?] and they
will not [?] and [?] for a
