Sir
It will be necessary
to forward the trout eggs at the
earliest convenience for their
safety--I shall rely upon you
packing them in a better manner
than last year, as they came
here in very bad condition--the
right way to pack them to ensure
safety is to put them on the regular
trays, putting a little clean moss
at the bottom and top of ["each" crossed out] the
Eggs in the tray, of not more a piece
of soft cotton cloth and there should
not be too many Eggs in each tray.
The trays should be put in a box
large enough to leave a space to
fill in all around with snow like

should be [Diagram of box] as much
layers [?] [Diagram of box] the tray, as well
allow a space of say at least
3 in all [would?] to fill in with snow
well packed in-- holes must be
[bored?] in the bottom of the box to let any
