ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GREENVILLE. 135
AN ORDINANCE to Prohibit the Selling, Swapping or
Exhibiting for Sale or Exchange, of Horses or Mules
upon the Streets of the City of Greenville.
SEC. 1. That hereafter it shall be unlawful for any
person or persons to sell, barter, exchange or display, or
exhibit for the purpose of sale or exchange, any horse or
mule upon any of the streets of the city of Greenville.
SEC. 2. Any person or persons violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be
fined in the sum of not less than one dollar, nor more
than fifty dollars, or be imprisoned for not less than one
day nor more than thirty days.

AN ORDINANCE Regulating the Driving of Horses and
Mules through the Streets.
SEC. 1. That from and after the passage of this ordi-
nance no horses or mules shall be turned loose through
the streets of this city during the hours of eight to nine
o'clock in the evening.
SEC. 2. This ordinance shall not apply to horses or
mules that have been driven through the country and are
being brought to the city to be stabled; and any one vio-
