Ordinances of the City of Greenville. 53

An Ordinance in Reference to Cattle Running at
Large or Being Staked or Tied or Held to Graze
on the Streets or Sidewalks Within the Incorporate
Limits of the City of Greenville.

Section 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Aldermen of
the City of Greenville in Council assembled and by the
authority of the same, That on and after the passage
of this ordinance it shall not be lawful for any person
or persons to suffer or allow any of his, her or their
cows, horses, sheep, goats, swine, or cattle of any kind
whatever, to go at large or to be staked, tied or held to
graze on the streets or sidewalks with the corporate
limits of the City of Greenville.

Sec. 2. That any person or persons violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be fined or imprisoned,
or both, at the discretion of the Mayor.

Sec. 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances heretofore
passed by the City Council inconsistent with the
provisions of this ordinance be and the same are hereby
repealed.

An Ordinance Regulating the Driving of Horses
and Mules through the Streets, Bicycles and
Hogs.

Be it ordained by the City Council of Greenville, assembled,
and it is hereby ordained by the authority of the
same, That from and after the passage of this Ordinance
no horses or mules shall be driven through the Streets
of this City, unless said horses or mules are securely tied
