Senior Class Will

We, the Class of 1956, in the town
of Taylors, the County of Greenville,
and the State of South Carolina, being
in as good mental condition as usual,
do hereby make this, our last will and
testament.

I "Cat" Leopard, will my ability to
finish high school without going
steady to Don Phillips.

I, "Hair Green, will my ability to
be tardy to Miss Wood's room every
morning to "Crook" Wilson.

I, Barbara Woodwall, will the honor
as May Queen to Peggy Jones.

I, Martha Rogers, will to you'uns
next year, my ability to make A's in
Joe's Trig. class, better known as "Fun
Hour."

I, Dorothy Vaughn, do hereby will
my traffic job to Mary Cave Hoping
she can do as well as I can.

I, Ruby Lee Bayne, do hereby will
my ability to spell to Harold Lockaby.
I, Virginia Ball, dod hereby will my
ability to do Geometry to Wendell
Jones.

I, Betty Frazier, will my ability to
slip out of study hall without getting
caught to Betty Boling.

THE HISTORY OF THE CLASS OF 1956

In the school year of '51-'52, this
class (the class of 1956) of 70 boys
and girls entered the eigth grade.
Mr. Henderson welcomed us and
assured us that we had nothing to be
afraid of. With the able assistance of
our homeroom teachers Mrs. M. E.
McPherson, Mrs. L. A. Jones, and Mr.
Philip Thornton, we were able to adjust
ourselves to high school life. By
the end of that school year, we were
ready to start the real climb with the
ninth grade the next year.

With 61 students, our class entered
the ninth grade under the sponsorship
of Mrs. Joyce Coates and Mrs.

SENIOR SKETCHES

Lorett A. Gay- Tall and attractive-
"best looking"- got a Mrs. before
diploma Buck.

Gloria Ashley- Lively and fun-loving
- loves that Navy Larry- got a
sparkler on her finger and a sparkle
in her eye.

Mary Badger- Cheered our teams-
Carolina- "Worm"- never a dull
moment.

Edna Ruth Barbare- Five foot four,
eyes of brown- pompter at Senior
play- weekend job.

Barbara Barnette- "Neatest"- sweet
smile- brunette- "Snee"- doesn't
have much to say.

Truman Barnette- "Clown"- always
goign to Greer Mill- Sunday rider-
always saying cute little things.

Dell Boling- The best things come
in small packages- "most likely to
succeed"- Bell Telephone- Richard.

Waymon Brookshire- "Uncle Sam"-
