The Rotary Club of Melnik went to the trouble and expense of having a native Slovakian scene carved on the stone which they sent us. Perhaps we not received a letter from anyone in which genial humor, kindly courtesy, and expressions of friendship were more pleasantly mingled than in this letter from Melnik.

In color combinations and in beauty of designs these costumes are among the most atttractive of Slovakia. The gallery of elaborately decorated pictures indicates the prosperity as well as the religious ferver of the household.
