DURBAN COMMEMORATES THE HERO OF A FAMOUS RIDE
The statue represents Dick King, who rode 600 miles, to Grahamstown ( [crossed out: "see page 427"] ), in ten days to get relief for the British when the Dutch were besieging Durban. It stands on the Victoria Embankment at Durban
